What is the Snooor wearable device?
The Snooor wearable device, a positional trainer for back snorers, is our first anti-snoring solution. The device is intended to be worn every evening with the use of our medical-grade, hypoallergenic, double-sided stickers.
How does the Snooor wearable device work?
Before going to bed, simply stick the lightweight anti-snoring device onto your forehead or breastbone. Once it detects that your head (forehead) or body (breastbone) is in a straight position, indicating that you are sleeping on your back, it will gently vibrate. This will trigger you to change the position of your head or body to the side, which allows you to breathe more freely, and snore less or even stop snoring. All of this happens without waking you or the person next to you.
Why does changing my head position stop me from snoring?
If your head is positioned upward, toward the ceiling, your tongue tends to slide to the back of your throat, regardless of whether you’re sleeping on your back or on your side. This can cause a partial airway blockage when inhaling, along with the soft-tissue vibrations that result in snoring. So head position is key.
However, when your head is moved to a sideways position, your tongue moves away from the back of your throat, reducing the vibrations that cause the snoring sound – even if you are lying on your back. Again, head position is the key element.
By turning your head or entire body to the side, your tongue will fall more sideways, causing your airway to be less narrowed than when your head is in a straight position, consequently you snore less or even stop snoring.
What is positional therapy?
Employed in the sleep apnea space for some years now, science-based positional therapy has been used successfully by snorers. What researchers found over time is that it’s possible to train people during sleep to turn to the side while sleeping – without waking the person up. Research studies have repeatedly proven that sleep position therapy can train a person to sleep on his side more than 90% of the overall sleep time. And while positional therapy does not directly address sleep apnea itself, it can help sleep apnea sufferers with their snoring.

Who can benefit from the Snooor wearable?
Since two-thirds of people who snore do so only while sleeping on their back, the Snooor anti-snoring device can help a majority of snorers. We have created a quick test for you to see what type of snorer you are, to determine if the Snooor wearable device is right for you.
Will the vibration wake me?
Designed and tested by sleep experts, the Snooor anti-snoring device will prompt you to roll to your side – and you won’t remember doing so, even in the morning!
The first few nights, your body may need some time to adjust to the changing of position as it breaks the habit of sleeping on your back. While this may initially cause you to wake up, it will quickly become natural to your body as it forms the new habit of sleeping on your side to breathe more freely and you snore less.
How long does it take to sleep more on your side with the Snooor wearable?
After 7 to 10 nights, you’ll sleep more than 90% of the time on your side, or with your head turned sideways. This will help you to breathe more freely and snore less or even stop snoring
The most optimal results (more than 95% of the time spent side sleeping) can be seen after wearing the anti-snoring device every night for 8 to 12 weeks. If you stop wearing the Snooor wearable device, however, your snoring may return as your body reverts to the bad habit of sleeping on the back.
